Dover Vantage’s first African project saw the successful design and construction of the Entebbe Airport military access road and security infrastructure. Entebbe airport is Uganda’s primary international airport and home to the Ugandan Air Force and Entebbe United Nations who will be the primary beneficiaries of the new road system.
The project, overseen by US Army Corps of Engineers, encompassed the development of infrastructure at this famous airfield with 1.5km of asphalt roads and aircraft taxiways. The project scope also included perimeter security fencing and lighting with anti-vehicle and ballistic protection measures, and an entire new storm drainage system which connected with the existing drainage pattern to cope with the high tropical rainfall.
From the design, through the procurement, to the construction of all infrastructure within US building code, Dover Vantage succeeded with the challenges of mobilizing and delivering such a project in sub-saharan Africa, leaving behind our trademark standard of quality.
